Changes for HSC
From 1 July 2012 a new health promotion agency will take over the functions of HSC, ALAC, and relevant functions of the Ministry of Health.
The Crown Entities Reform Bill, which enables these changes, had its first reading in Parliament on 4 October 2011.
Committees ceased to exist upon the dissolution of Parliament on 20 October 2011. Submissions to Select Committees in the period that Parliament is dissolved need to be emailed as an attachment to the Office of the Clerk of the House of Representatives (interregnum.submissions@parliament.govt.nz). There is no closing date for submissions currently.
